He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Jane Briggs and Bonda Orso. Sheila is survived by her loyal and loving husband, Larry of Hector; her son Paul and his wife Viola Woodworth of Hector; and her step-daughter, Emily Bozeat of Tennessee. She also leaves four grandchildren and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and an older brother, Richard Smith. Age 88, passed away quietly in her sleep from natural causes on January 28, 2022.

Age 52, of Burdett, NY, went to fly with the angels on July 28, 2022, peacefully with her family by her side.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity. She was a member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church her whole life. She enjoyed traveling to the beaches of Hawaii and Cancun with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and making the large family and holiday meals.

In her extra time, June enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, fireworks, birdwatching, and traveling with her family. She loved decorating her home with Christmas lights, lighting up the whole hill. June loved to dance; she could always be found doing the polka, the jitterbug, the electric slide, and several other favorites. She loved all animals and had several animal companions over the years, including exotic birds and dogs.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carl “Skip” Messersmith; husband, Bernard Humphrey; daughter, Kathy Messersmith Eaves; brothers, Robert Terry and Roy “Jack” Terry; and three grandsons, Daniel Flood, Andrew Flood and Doug Arnold. Ruby worked in a factory during WWII, but for most of her life she was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was always the person who took care of everyone else.

She had several hobbies that included bowling, bird watching, gardening, her flowers, sewing, photography, many crafts, crocheting, knitting, reading books, playing cards, board games, adult coloring books and refinishing furniture. All of which she shared with her family, passing down her skills. June was well known and respected in the local community. She was a very caring, compassionate person and always put the needs of others before her own. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing.

She was predeceased by her brother, Fred Goossen, Jr. Age 84, of Beaver Dams, NY and Inverness, FL, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was born in Gouverneur, NY on January 7, 1938, the daughter of the late Donald and Jessie Parow. Ruth made her life has a homemaker, caring for her family. Any donations should be directed to the Watkins Glen Public Library. Buy a plant, make a quilt, plant flowers, watch the birds in remembrance of Joanna.

It was this heroic devotion to duty, with prolonged daily exposure to deadly toxins, which ultimately cost Brent his life 21 years later. He could often be found with a tool in his hand to work on a car or his latest home improvement project. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jim always kept the door open for anyone looking to come in and shoot the breeze. He always looked forward to taking a drive in his ’69 Firebird.
